For the time being, the 2023 versions of Tesla's most economical model are unchanged. But according to reports, the electric vehicle may soon get a stylistic upgrade. However, given Tesla's past performance, the upgraded Model 3 might not be ready until the 2024 model year.<br />The price range for the 2023 Tesla Model 3 is $41,880 to $54,880. While all other trim levels have two motors and all-wheel drive, the base trim level only has one motor controlling the rear wheels. Although the base rear-wheel-drive model is an excellent deal, some drivers may still experience range anxiety due to its 272 miles of EPA-estimated driving range. The Long Range model, which provides an estimated 358 miles of driving per charge, is what we'd advise. Heated front seats, GPS, and Tesla's Autopilot semi-autonomous driving system are all standard on every Model 3.

Tesla shares sank more than 5% in early trading Friday. This after the electric-car maker revealed that its chief accountant, Dave Morton, resigned on September 4.<br />Business Insider reports that Morton said "Since I joined Tesla on August 6th, the level of public attention placed on the company, as well as the pace within the company, have exceeded my expectations. As a result, this caused me to reconsider my future. I want to be clear that I believe strongly in Tesla, its mission, and its future prospects, and I have no disagreements with Tesla's leadership or its financial reporting."<br />The resignation comes in the wake of departures by other Tesla executives, last year. These include chief engineer Doug Field, top sales executive Ganesh Srivats, and CFO Jason Wheeler. <br />

Tesla's Fremont Factory, the company's first electric vehicle plant, has experienced its first stoppage as part of planned upgrades. CEO Elon Musk had previously announced that production facilities would be closed at times during the third quarter to perform these upgrades. The upgrades are believed to be aimed at preparing production lines for new vehicle builds, potentially including the Model 3 Highland, and making space improvements in the space-constrained factory. Recent observations indicate that the logistics lots are empty, entrances are closed, and there is little movement in the casting and manufacturing areas. These changes suggest that the plant is already undergoing upgrades as previously stated by Musk. While Tesla has not officially confirmed the stoppages, it appears that they are in line with the planned upgrades for Q3 production.
